Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is! (Deuteronomy 32:4) (NLT)
Have you ever wondered if the little ones, those who die before birth or at an early age, go to heaven?
God created us because he loves us and wants us to be with him now and for all eternity. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. (Ephesians 1:4) All things were created by him and for him. (Colossians 1:16) Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. (Jeremiah 1:5) Your hands shaped me and made me. (Job 10:8) The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. (Job 33:4) We are God’s workmanship. (Ephesians 2:10) I (God) know you by name. (Exodus 33:17) I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39) (NLT) Because God considers every life precious, his heart is that none shall perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
People sometimes ponder on the eternal destiny of the little ones who have died before birth or at a young age, and unable to make a decision for Jesus. Wonderfully, God has made a way for them to be with him and to share in his glory. The Lord said: The little ones … your children who do not yet know good from bad – they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it.
(Deuteronomy 1:39) Even though very few of the Israelites who left Egypt in the Exodus actually entered the promised land, because of their rebelliousness and their unbelief (Hebrews 3:19), it was God’s heart for the little ones to enter it, as they did not know good from bad. Let us then draw strength and comfort knowing that God’s heart will also be for the innocent little ones whose days have been cut short, that they too will receive the same free gift of eternal life that God promises to all who believe in him. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)
Father, I (Jesus) want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory. (John 17:24) Hallelujah!
